Case Study: Keeping the Kids on the Road
When a charity minibus used to transport young people was damaged in a minor accident, one of its side windows was left completely smashed out, leaving the vehicle unsafe and unroadworthy. For a charity that relies on its minibus to carry out its work, every day it was off the road was a day those plans had to wait.
The Challenge
The window frame needed a replacement glass panel, and in this case the part wasn’t something we had sitting on the shelf. Rather than leave the minibus stuck off the road while waiting, the damaged opening was safely covered as a temporary measure, keeping the vehicle weatherproof and secure until the correct glass arrived.
The Work
Once the replacement pane was in, our technicians fitted it properly and securely, matching the original specification so the window sealed and functioned exactly as it should.
The Result
Despite having to source a part that wasn’t readily available, the minibus was back on the road in under three days. For a charity minibus, that’s the difference between sitting idle and getting young people where they need to be.
